'Fez' PC Pre-Orders Available For May Release

After reaching 200,000 sales, a significant milestone, on XBLA, Fez is now going to other platforms, including the PC. Pre-orders will start on April 22, and Polytron, the developer of the game, will be offering 10 percent off. Since the game was fairly cheap at $10, or 800 Microsoft points, and looking to go a little cheaper with its PC release, this should give some incentive to some of those wary of the port to purchase the game.

The PC version is set to launch on May 1, and it will not be the only new platform the game will hit. Phil Fish, creator of Fez, said a while back that other versions, including Mac and Ouya ports, are being worked on. However, when asked about any ports to Nintendo, he doesn't think it will happen.

"The only way a Fez Wii U port could happen is if Nintendo paid for and handled the port themselves," Fish wrote on Twitter. "Which I highly doubt will ever happen."

Given that the game did so well on XBLA it's likely to do well on other platforms. When Phil Fish went on Reddit to do an "Ask Me Anything" he also mentioned a possible PlayStation Vita version as something he is "trying to figure something out."
