According to reports, despite the game's subtle existence and the obvious absence of additional content, Naughty Dog is actually working on the sidelines, meaning for the game to run longer than they've planned.
But instead of developing an all new "Uncharted 4" title, the developer chose to create a story DLC to extend Nathan Drake's adventures. Interestingly, the new "Uncharted 4" story DLC is also a stand alone game; something that players can still purchase and play through even in the absence of the base game.
The said "Uncharted 4" story DLC is expected to be introduced at the upcoming PlayStation Experience this December. In a recent report by LPVG, Nolan North and Troy Baker, the voices behind the Uncharted 4 main characters confirmed the story DLC of the game. They also encourage fans to tune in to the upcoming PlayStation event for more details about the new content.
The upcoming "Uncharted 4" story DLC according to North, will be Naughty Dog's biggest expansion yet. And we couldn't agree more, if indeed, it's a standalone content that can be played even in the absence of the base game. A revelation online also cites the possibility of one more Uncharted series before naughty Dog and Sony put its final series into movie.
