'The Last of Us 2' Release Date, News & Updates: Naughty Dog Keeping Title Behind Closed Doors? 2017 to 2018 Possible Launch Target

"The Last of Us 2" may still be a long way from reality, but some seem to keep up their hopes before the title even becomes official. That being said, the speculations surrounding the alleged sequel have become hotter, even without the apparent concretion.

Naughty Dog certainly outdid it self with the creation of the utterly successful "The Last of Us." The same cannot be completely said regarding the potential "The Last of Us 2" just yet, but many have already tried to interpret clues and hints that can lead to more news on the sequel. Rumors, in the same manner, are not being ruled out either.

According to recent reports, "The Last of Us 2" may have been hinted by voice actor Nolan North in the past, saying that Naughty Dog is indeed making the said title. As this may be quite a big claim to withhold, it is not considerably impossible since North gave his vocal prowess to the original game as well. More importantly, North is the voice behind Nathan Drake of the "Uncharted" series also created by Naughty Dog, which means that an actor having insight on the new title is not an impossibility.

Other reports point to the potential of "The Last of Us 2" being launched sometime soon, especially with "The Last of Us Remastered" already laid out. With such time span between the titles, many have seen the need to make a continuity come forward. Despite the continuous efforts and interpretations of the fans, none has been confirmed so far, though 2017 is being eyed after the absence of the game from the entire year.

"The Last of Us 2" could surface within 2017 if the rumors are proven true, or 2018 at the earliest if the game still does not wash ashore next year. Keep posted for more news and updates here at GamenGuide.
