This quickly became clear as the year drew to a close without official updates or announcements regarding the beloved cartoon's upcoming third installment. Good news first
It may seem that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 is on its way to completion A series of tweets from writer and producer Dan Guterman teased that he's "done" with the animated series' third season. It also seems as if the first episode of "Rick and Morty" Season 3, as Guterman tweeted that cowriter Erica Rosbe had already seen it and "wouldn't shut up about it."
But, as iDigitalTimes noted, the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 process isn't finished even if the scripts and the animations are already done. It was earlier reported that while the writing process neared completion, the show still had to get the green light from its Canadian animation studio. Still, fans hope that Adult Swim can fast-track the series to make it just in time for the holidays.
And, it may just be the case. Inverse reported that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will definitely return by the end of 2016.
