"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is going to be the final season of the series. It is speculated that Nina Dobrev will return. She may either return to portray the role of Elena or Katherine.

In a report from Health Aim, there are hints made by show's creator Julie Plec that Dobrev is really coming back to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. It still needs to be officially confirmed on what role Dobrev will reprise once she comes back to the final season.

There are also speculations that the Salvatore brothers are going to die in the end of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. It is likely that the brothers will not appear in 'The Originals' Season 4 if they die in this season finale.

TV Fanatic reports that Dobrev is coming back to "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 but not at the Mystic Falls. She is speculated to appear in one episode titled 'Workahlics.' However, the information of her being part of the series again is not clear as of yet.

There are more speculations on what character Dobrev may be once she comes back. It can be remembered that her character as Elena has been in a coma ever since "The Vampire Diaries" Season 6. If she ever returns with the same character it may be that she becomes the savior of her love.

Meanwhile, if Dobrev is to return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, it will help with the show's ratings as fans are already eager to see her again according to a report in Jobs & Hire. If she ever returns as Elena then it has been speculated that her being reunited with Damon (Ian Somerhalder)is going to be a bloody one.

Dobrev is also speculated to come back as a powerful villain and may challenge Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. She may even be the reason for the brothers' death in the final season.

Fans and followers can expect "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 Every Friday.
