Wonder Woman Trailer Reveals Her Past- Movie Cast, Spoilers and Release Date Details

Over the years, fans had been treated in a vast array of movies based on comic books. The trend continues with the third member of Detective Comics (DC) trinity, Wonder Woman gets its chance to finally have a solo movie with its latest trailer released.

Wonder Woman, one of DC's known heroes or in this case super heroine, has a vast lore in her belt- 75 long years and counting. Fans got their first look of the Amazon Princess (played by Gal Gadot) when she made a surprising appearance to the movie Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice earlier this year. However, this will be the heroine's first stand alone film adaptation.

With that said, Wonder Woman's latest trailer provides a much closer look to her past as an Amazon warrior princess and her alter ego Diana Prince. The trailer also showcases her home Themyscira. It is the isolated home world inhabited by Wonder Woman and her people, the Amazons, as such it is a civilization that closed its doors to everything from the outside world.

The film takes place 100 years ago during the War to end all wars, a term used for the First World War of 1914-1918. As Wonder Woman decides to leave Themyscira (also known as Paradise Island) to join Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) in his mission  because she cannot stand to see the loss of innocent lives.

Wonder Woman's latest trailer has shown plenty of action scenes. Including the Amazon Princess do battle with her shield and sword, deflecting bullets with her indestructible gauntlets and tossing opponents with her golden lasso of truth.

The cast of Wonder Woman also includes Robin Wright,(General Antiope), Connie Nielsen (Queen Hipolita), Lucy Davis (Etta Candy), Florence Kashumba (Senator Acantha), Lisa Kongsli (Menalippe), Samantha Joe ( Euboea), Eleonor Matsura (Epione) and many others.

Wonder Woman is also named as a real life United Nations (UN) Ambassador which is rare to be given to a fictional Character. It opens to cinemas June 2, 2017.
