‘Rurouni Kenshin’ Manga Spoilers, Cast, Predictions & Theories: Spin-Off Out Today! Find Out More Details What’s Next for Hitokiri Battosai Here!

As announced last month, the first chapter for the new "Rurouni Kenshin" Manga spin-off is slated for release today! Penned by original creator Nobuhiro Watsuki and his wife Kaoru Kurosaki, the upcoming manga titled "Rurouni Kenshin Ibun: Ashitaro Zenka Ari" or "Rurouni Kenshin Variant Story: The Criminal Ashitaro" in English will be the second spin-off to date.

To recall, it was 2014 when the creators pushed for the first spin-off. "Honō wo Suberu-Rurouni Kenshin: Uramaku" or "Controlling Flame-Rurouni Kenshin: Hidden Chapter" marks the first time that the "Rurouni Kenshin" Manga made a come-back since it ended its run back in 1999. The 2014 spin-off tells the tale of how the infamous villain Shishio Makoto acquaints himself with Yumi Komagata.

Shueisha's announcement last month had fans scream collectively, unmindful of the fact that the new "Rurouni Kenshin" Manga spin-off will only come in two parts. The first part is scheduled to be published today (November 4) via Jump Square magazine and the second part will appear later on Jump Square's next volume.

The first chapter for the "Rurouni Kenshin" Manga spin-off is rumored to portray the story of a new character named Ashitaro. Ashitaro is a new character developed for "Rurouni Kenshin Ibun," although a theory looming over the Kenshin universe is that Ashitaro could be the former name of a super villain whom Kenshin fans have already been acquainted with.

Most English-speaking fans have been introduced to "Rurouni Kenshin" through the TV anime series "Samurai X," which ran for 95 episodes, got a full-length film, and three OVAs. The original "Rurouni Kenshin" Manga, however, ran for five years in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. New-age fans of Himura Kenshin, on the other hand, were a product of the live-action trilogy, which starred Japanese actor Takeru Satoh.

As of this writing, the first chapter for the new "Rurouni Kenshin" Manga spin-off hasn't been released yet, although it will be on for sale via Jump Square anytime today. More details of the beloved manga will be posted this week, only at GamenGuide.
