‘Star Wars Battlefront 2’ Release Date, Latest News & Update: Bigger And Better Worlds Rolling Out In 2017 Sequel
“Star Wars Battlefront 2” will be happening in 2017 though the actual date of release has yet to be known. EA CFE Blake Jorgensen confirmed the news at a recent earnings call which can hopefully offer something better from the first installment.
According to Jorgense, “Star Wars Battlefront 2” will arrive a year from now and that the game developers are hard at work to make sure that the sequel offers something better, Gaming Bolt reported. “Star Wars Battlefront 2” will offer bigger and better worlds per Jorgensen, a bit of a reprieve considering the first installment drew heavy criticism for lacking content.
Despite the jabs, “Star Wars Battlefront” performed good in the market and was reasonable backed by good visuals. As far as the content to be included in the sequel, it is believed that “Star Wars Battlefront 2” will pick up some additional content on the latest “Star Wars” movies. That includes films like “The Force Awakens” and the soon-to-debut “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”.
For those who have been following “Star Wars Battlefront 2” updates, this is actually a delay of sorts. To recall, EA previously mentioned that the sequel could be out somewhere between April to December 2017, Polygon reported.
Either way, all “Star Wars Battlefront 2” gamers can do for now is wait and rejoice that a sequel is coming. Versions for the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC are expected from EA who holds the exclusive rights to the video game licenses excluding the mobile device line.
EA plans to release at least one new Star Wars game yearly for the next three to four years so expect more installments. The company is trying to maintain its big run since the first installment shipped 14 million copies which was more than EA had expected, GameSpot reported.
