"Avatar 2" is probably one of the most highly anticipated movie sequels today. James Cameron is doing his best to make sure that the upcoming sequels of "Avatar" will be released on time. James Cameron is planning to release "Avatar 2" on December 2018.

According to a report from DigitalSpy, James Cameron is planning to improve the "Avatar 2" visual quality and make it more appealing compared to the previous movie. The veteran director is also working for "Avatar 2" HDR (High Dynamic Range) and HFR (High Frame Rates). The Hollywood's elite director is also planning a much better 3D projection without using 3D glasses.

A Glass-free 3D movie hasn't been developed yet in cinemas. But according to a report from Independent, the technology is already available on Nintendo 3DS. The use of 3D cinematic display has already advanced since the first "Avatar" movie has been launched. But James Cameron is aiming to level up more with a Glass-free 3D movie "Avatar 2."

The "Avatar" movie franchise is expected to have another 4 sequels. The "Avatar 2" is expected to be launched in 2018 while the "Avatar 3" following in 2020, the "Avatar 4" in 2022 and the "Avatar 5" in 2023. There is still no confirmation for the exact release date of the sequels but James Cameron is trying his best to reach the desired schedule.

The first "Avatar" film is one of the top grossing films of all time. But, James Cameron is aiming to exceed the previous movie. There are already rumors and speculations circulating online about the "Avatar 2" storyline. Rumors say that the "Avatar 2" will focus on Jake Sully and Neytiri's married life.

The leading characters Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver of the previous movie will also reprise their roles. The two characters already died in the first movie, but rumors claim that the both personalities will be resurrected in "Avatar 2" and live along with the People of Pandora.
