While the initial report from Entertainment Weekly only said that an episode from "Law & Order: SVU" season 18 will be inspired by "Making A Murderer" Season 2, it has been reported that the producers of the legal procedural drama has reached out to the creators of "Making A Murderer" season 2 for a possible crossover. A crossover episode between "Making A Murderer" Season 2 and "Law & Order: SVU" season 18 would be unprecedented as the two are from different TV genres. This is why Netflix will also be involved in the episode as Variety reports that the streaming giant is "committed" to the making of "Making A Murderer" season 2.
As of now, no release date has been announced by Netflix regarding "Making A Murderer" Season 2 yet. On the other hand, "Law & Order: SVU" season 18 airs every Wednesday at 9 pm ET on NBC.
