With Huawei unveiling its own premium phone, the Huawei Mate 9, smartphone fans are eager to know if the device is worthy to be lined up with other big brands like Apple. The phone, which was released earlier this month, provides tough competition to other phones on its level.
The Huawei Mate 9 is equipped with great specifications and features that make it a worthy competition of pricey and well-known brands. Here is how the newly released phone is compared to the iPhone 7 Plus:
RAM and processor
A 4GB RAM and a Kirin 960 chipset comes with the Huawei Mate 9 making it a promising device for those who love phones with fast performance. Huawei said the processor of their latest offering is the best in the market since it could deliver multi-core performance. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB of RAM and an Apple A10 processor.
Screen and display
Huawei Mate 9's 5.9-inch screen makes it a perfect device for watching movies and also playing games. It has a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels which is the same with the resolution of the iPhone 7 Plus. The bigger iPhone release this year has a smaller screen at 5.5-inch.
Camera
As for the camera, the Huawei Mate 9 is armed with a dual-lens camera at the back: one has a 20MP sensor while the other is at 12MP. Some of the camera features include dual-LED flash, face detection and laser autofocus. The secondary camera of the Huawei phone has an 8MP sensor.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 Plus also has two camera lenses both at 12 MP. One is for wide-angle shooting while the other has a telephoto lens.
Price details
Though the date of availability of the Huawei Mate 9 is still unknown, the phone will be sold with a starting price of around $775 up to $1,548 for the premium design called the Porsche model. On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus is pegged at $769 for the 32GB variant.
