'Final Fantasy Dimensions 2' Release Date, News & Update: Square Enix Debuts Trailer, iOS & Android Game Coming Soon

Great news for "Final Fantasy" fans out there, as the latest iteration of the game called "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" is finally arriving in iOS and Android very soon. While there's no release date attached to the game as of now, Square Enix recently debuts its new trailer.

For those who are a little bit confused, "Final Fantasy Dimensions" is the Western title of "Final Fantasy Legends," which arrived in 2010. Kotaku reports that "Final Fantasy Legends 2," which will be known in the west as "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2," is now holding a pre-register campaign. In Japan, it's already been announced, with game creator Takashi Tokita describing it as a "rebirth."

Gematsu reports that as per Takashi, the upcoming "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" will be a new legend that will occur in a "new space-time." For gamers who are interested in the iOS and Android game coming soon, you can already pre-register in the website. Gamers who pre-register will be able to get their hands on the Tidus' Phantom Stone for "Final Fantasy 10" and the "Fraternity" weapon.

Last week, we reported that "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" will be packed with a lot of dramatic battles, characters with human traits, and most of all, fantastical adventure. As Square Enix debuts trailer of "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2," fans get to see a little bit of all of that.

The game is reportedly designed by Takashi alongside Yoshitaka Aman, who is responsible for "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" game illustrations and character designs. According to the latest news surrounding the game, fans are speculating that the iOS and Android game coming soon will feature a two-episode format, just like its predecessor.

In addition, "Final Fantasy Dimensions 2" may take gamers in a battle between the warriors of light and the dark as they continue to gather crystals. Gamers may also experience the Active Time Battle system that "Final Fantasy" fans are already familiar with.
