2017 is about to come and along with it is the coming up of the much-awaited "Homeland" Season 6. The favorite political thriller skipped 2016 but as it is set to come early next year, Showtime recently dropped its first official trailer.
In the new teaser of "Homeland" Season 6, Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) can be seen back in her hometown in New York City. The character of the "Romeo + Juliet" star is obviously having a dispute with the CIA once again.
It looks like Carrie will no longer serve the CIA as she now chooses to work for an organization helping the Muslim people living in New York City. However, there are still threats of terrorist attack in the coming "Homeland" Season 6, but as the role of the 37-year-old star left the intelligence; she's now on the opposite side of her ex-workmates, Crave reported.
In fact, it looks like Carrie's biggest opponent in "Homeland" Season 6 this time will be Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham). But after all that she has been through, she can prettily stand up to anyone who gets on her way.
Moreover, "Homeland" Season 6 will focus on a newly-elected female president. Evidently, the drama series depicts real-life situations that have been happening in the country. The coming new installment will continue after a couple of months the previous chapter ended, showing the election and inauguration of the new president, The Independent cited.
It has been said that the new trailer of "Homeland" Season 6 is trying to conceal the fate of Peter Quinn (Rupert Friend) as he is not seen in the picture. But, eagle-eyed fans believe that they saw the glimpse of the 35-year-old actor at 0:24.
Carrie's daughter, too, is missing from the teaser of "Homeland" Season 6. Anyhow, fans can surely expect an intense turn in every episode as a heated argument between Carrie and Dal was revealed. "Homeland" Season 6 will return on Jan. 15 on Showtime.
