'Grand Theft Auto 5' News & Updates: Rockstar Reveals New Deadline Racing Mode

Three years after the release of "Grand Theft Auto 5," the game is still going strong thanks to its online multiplayer mode. Even though people are already well into speculating on what "Grand Theft Auto 6" could possibly look like and where it will be, Rockstar Games hasn't stopped supporting the three-year old game, feeding its strong fanbase.

Rockstar Games released a new trailer for another new mode coming to "Grand Theft Auto 5" online. It's called Deadline, and it involves racing a "Tron"-like motorcycle called the Nagasaki Shotaro, reports GameSpot.

Basically, up to four players will race around a track with these futuristic motorbikes, which leave a trail of colored light behind them. Other players who run into these trails of light in "Grand Theft Auto 5" will explode, so it's their job to avoid the burned rubber.

Don't worry, though, as items and power-ups in the game mode will allow you to avoid getting blown up by your opponents' light. In addition to Deadline, Rockstar has also added a Premium race to "Grand Theft Auto 5" online called Over the Bridge.

This race also uses motorbikes, and awards triple RPs and pretty high cash prizes. Over the Bridge will be available until November 21, so you might want to take advantage of that, especially if you're into racing in "Grand Theft Auto 5."

Players who go buy the Nagasaki Shotaro in "Grand Theft Auto 5" also get a free Nagasaki t-shirt for their in-game avatar. Rockstar is introducing the mode today, as you're reading this, and they're giving out double the amount of in-game currency you can get from it from now until November 21.

As another boost to this special new mode, they've also slashed the costs to Biker business supplies by 25 percent. They're also doubling the amount of GTA$ and RP you can get from Biker sales in "Grand Theft Auto 5."
