"I never felt good enough for Angie," said Billy Bob Thornton while opening up about his previous marriage to Angelina Jolie in a new straight-shooting interview with GQ. He bares a tell-all interview on why the marriage did not work.
As first reported by ET Online, the 61-year-old star of the classic thriller "One False Move" has reiterated that marrying Angelina was one of the "craziest moments" of his life and was 'not fond of the whole romance'. After meeting on set of the 1999 movie, Pushing Tin; both exchanged vows in 2000 and separated after two years , then got divorced in 2003. The Oscar winner detailed his former marriage to Jolie as something that he was not comfortable with, he tells GQ that he feels "really uncomfortable around rich and important people."
The recent remarks were made in the midst of Angelina's divorce from Brad Pitt after dating together for 9 years and 2 years of marriage. Despite all of his statements, the actor maintains that he's still friends with Angelina and that he occasionally speaks to her from time to time.
The "Bad Santa 2" actor recalls one of the craziest things in the marriage were wearing blood vials around their necks by slashing their fingers with a little razor blade. "It's very simple, you know those clear lockets that you buy and put a picture of your grandma. Angelina bought two of those and we were apart shooting for our different film projects, she thought it was romantic if we put little blood on these lockets and wear them just like you wear your kid's hair in one" recalled the actor.
After her split with Billy Bob Thornton, Jolie started a relationship with Brad Pitt while they were filming for Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Last September, the actress filed for divorce after allegations of child abuse. However, the 51-year-old actor was cleared of the allegations by the Department of Child and Family Services. In her statement to ET, Angie's rep said that she was relieved that the investigation is over and that she can now focus her attention to her family.
