Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid's romance has taken the world by storm ever since the former's infamous breakup from world-renowned boyband One Direction. The two have been inseparable ever since, albeit at the expense of Little Mix's Perrie Edwards, Malik's former fiancee. And although Zayn Malik himself recently admitted that he doesn't regret being part of One Direction, his lover Gigi Hadid doesn't appear enthusiastic about it.
Not a fan of One Direction
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Wednesday, the 21-year-old model admitted that she preferred Zayn Malik now that he's gone solo. Fans would recall that Zayn Malik quit One Direction during their world tour. Later on he admitted to finally having had enough of the "generic sounds" the band was making and wanted to pursue creative freedom in his vocals and lyrics. Shortly afterwards, he released his single, "Pillowtalk," which liberally talked about sex--something he wasn't able to do as a member of One Direction.
Gigi Hadid vs Perrie Edwards
But while Gigi Hadid very much supports Zayn Malik's decision to go solo, several reports suggested that she's still uncomfortable with Perrie Edwards, Zayn's former girlfriend. Earlier, it was reported that Gigi Hadid wanted to talk to Zayn Malik's ex to clear things up and to assert that she's now dating the former boyband star. She also reportedly wanted to get Perrie to stop talking about Zayn following the release of Little Mix's hit song, "Shoutout to my Ex."
However, Gigi Hadid slammed these reports in a serious Twitter rant. She shot down the "insider sources" that reported fed this information and urged her fans instead to "spread the love." Stay tuned for more updates on the Gigi Hadid-Zayn Malik romance.
