Fans are hoping to see Nina Dobrev make her grand return to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 as the great villain. However, fourth episode into the series and there's no shadow of either Elena or Katherine. Is there going to be a satisfying ending to "The Vampire Dairies" season 8?
In an interview with Digital Spy, series creator Julie Plec revealed that she has prepared two possible endings for "The Vampire Diaries" season 8 - one with Nina Dobrev on it, and the other without her. Plec opened up about Dobrev's return for the series finale during July's San Diego Comic-Con.

She said that it's only a matter of logistics to finalize Nina Dobrev's return to "The Vampire Diaries" season 8. In any case that it's not possible for Dobrev to return, Julie Plec said it would be emotionally disappointing to end the series without her despite preparing an alternate ending that fans would be contented of.
"Her character was the centerpiece, the heart and soul of the series, for so long that it would feel incomplete," she added. "That being said, I could do it that way, I just would prefer not to." However, there are speculations that Dobrev may finally make her appearance next episode.
Nina Dobrev Returns As Sybil's Sister?
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 has finally unveiled its ultimate villain in the person of Sybil (Nathalie Kelley). In an interview with TV Guide, Kelley revealed Sybil's back story, which includes her siren sister. Similar to Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon's (Ian Somerhalder) tragic history, their own lives were also filled with turbulent events.
With this, many fans believe that the sister Nathalie Kelley may be talking about is Nina Dobrev. There are speculations saying that Elena and Sybil may be sisters. The answer will be known when the next episode of "The Vampire Dairies" season 8 airs on Friday.
