'The Last Of Us 2' News & Update: Game Suffers Visual Bugs From PS4 Pro; Xbox One, PS4 Platforms Reports Glitches Too?

Scott Lowie, Senior Communications Manager of Naughty Dog has confirmed that "The Last of Us" has just been remastered for PS4 Pro. Naughty Dog developer has detailed the enhancements PS4 Pro owners can enjoy over standard PS4 Players.

As reported by Game Spot, "The Last of Us 2" can be played at 30 FPS in 2160p or a smoother 60 FPS in 1800p. Players without a 4K TV also benefit from the higher resolution rendering, just downscaled to 1020p. Those lucky enough to own an HDR set can enjoy expanded color and brightness in the game. Players can experience the game in greater detail on PS4 Pro.

However despite all this, it has been claimed that some PS4 Pro games remastered suffers from visual bugs, including "The Last of Us 2." It is reported that the game suffering from textures and/or shadow effects, specifically in PS4 Pro.

As a matter of fact, the reason for the visual bug is caused related to switching between framerates in game, WCCFtech reports. Moreover, according to the Digital Foundry team, the game doesn't hold up at 60 frames per second. It discovered some noticeable drops in frame while running " The Last of Us" remastered in its 60FPS mode at 1800P.

In comparison, the standard PS4 was able to handle the game at 60FPS perfectly fine at 1800P. The takeaway is that even with an upgraded GPU, trying to run 60FPS consistently at 1800P is too much for Pro to handle, and the game suffers because of it.

Does this mean that "The Last of Us" remastered isn't still advisable to play on PS4 Pro? There could be a solution. Stay tuned to Gamenguide for more "Last of Us 2" updates.
