'League of Legends' Release Date, News & Update: Here's Why Professional Player 'Yellowstar' Retired; 2017 Update To Change Rank System

"League of Legends" Veteran support Yellowstar is reportedly set on retiring from the game. Apparently, his age is said to be a factor that lead to the team's lowest win last season. It is said that Yellowstar will be joining the Paris Saint-germain as the head of the esports endeavour.

Recent reports claim that Bora "Yellowstar" Kim is retiring as a pro player. Kim announced his retirement from "League of Legends", ending a six-year professional career with them. Bora also competed with the first World Championship finals. Furthermore, he won the European League Championship Series five times.

The "League of Legends" support position is yet to be replaced for the 2017 season. In addition, Kim revealed in a Facebook post  that all the years of sweat and late nights everyday for months were worth it. His career had been a professional and personal one as well, ESPN reported. However, he reportedly feels more exhausted after hours of playing now that he has turned 24.

"The League of Legends" veteran had competed with several of the best North American and European League teams in the world. After a long stint with Fnatic, the Yellowstar was offered to move to North America to compete with Team SoloMid. However, Kim rejoined Fnatic in Europe to take the sixth place last season.

Meanwhile, the "League of Legends" recently received an update leading to the 2017 preseason with changes in the Ranked system. The 6.22 patch also brings a class update to Assassins as well as several overdue features in Replays and Practice Tool. However, the update will not be a full-scale update.

"League of Legends" post-patch will include refinements to stealth mechanics, a new ward and the removal of an old one, PC Gamer reported. Furthermore, the patch will feature the controversial "living jungle" that will bring in new plants to the Rift. The update is also expected to roll out with bug fixes, new skins and chromas as well.
