'Fast & Furious 8' Release Date, Plot, News & Update: Scott Eastwood, Cara Delevingne, Charlize Theron, Ronda Rousey, Jason Statham Joining Cast?

The death of Paul Walker surely affected the production of the "Fast and Furious" franchise, as Brian O'Conner seems to be out of the picture. However, as he still made it in the seventh installment through CGI, "Fast & Furious 8" will soon follow.

There have been several reports stating that "Fast & Furious 8" will once again use the same CGI technology to bring back Brian O'Conner. Despite his farewell in the last installment, Brian will still have an active presence in the eighth installment.

"Fast & Furious 8" will be directed by F. Gary Gray, and the full cast and characters have just been revealed. As expected, Vin Diesel will still play Dom Toretto. Jordana Brewster will reprise her role as Mia Toretto, Ludacris as Tej Parker, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, and Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce. Vin Diesel has considered every one of them as family, so they are assured of a role in every "Fast and Furious" movie.

Ronda Rousey and Sean Boswell would also return as Kara and Lucas Black, respectively. Eva Mendes, who portrays Agent Monica Fuentes, is also in the talks of returning to "Fast & Furious 8."

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham would also reprise their roles as Hobbs and Deckard Shaw. However, a post by Dwayne Johnson suggests that Hobbs may be on the other fence this time in "Fast & Furious 8." In the previous installment, Deckard Shaw was imprisoned by Hobbs.

"Fast & Furious 8" will also be having new villains. Helen Mirren is rumored to play Deckard's mom. There are also rumors of a dangerous group composed of seductive ladies. The group includes Ruby Rose, Cara Delevigne, and Charlize Theron, who is then described as a Hannibal Lecter-type villain.

Kristofer Hivju, who also starred as Tormund in "Game of Thrones" will play as the tough guy by Charlize Theron's side in "Fast & Furious 8." Scott Eastwood had also been cast for a role in the upcoming film, although his role is yet to be disclosed.

With the cast seemingly complete, "Fast & Furious 8" is now set for its worldwide release on April 14, 2017.
