"The Walking Dead" season 7 is delving deeper into its storyline, marking the midway of a long journey to surviving. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, comic book writer Robert Kirkman teased fans the possible ending of the comic story.
"I know what the end point is, and at the end of the day, I want this entire long narrative to be a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end," said "The Walking Dead" creator. "We're just spending a lot of time in the middle, so, I kind of have to know what that direction is, and I have to know what that end point is to be able to keep building towards it." "The Walking Dead" season 7 currently marks the middle part of the long story.

Robert Kirkman also revealed that AMC executives nor the producers have no say on how "The Walking Dead" comic book ends. However, this much is the only details the writer is willing to reveal. Kirkman refused to tell how the comic book story concludes. This does not translate that "The Walking Dead" season 7 will also mark the series' end.
