‘Westworld’ Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: HBO Renews Show For New Chapter; HBO President Reveals Possible Release!

The futuristic park, "Westworld," quickly made noise and loved by the many. With a lot of positive reviews and critical acclaims, the science fiction thriller based on Michael Crichton 1973 movie with the same title is recently renewed by HBO to have "Westworld" Season 2.

"Westworld" Season 2 was ordered by HBO. However, with its epic story, fans won't get to see the new installment until 2018, Entertainment Weekly cited. "My suspicion is sometime in 2018 because of how big the world is and what goes into shooting it. So I don't have a date exactly," HBO programming president Casey Bloys said.

Casey Bloys went on to explain that the showrunners, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, have to "map it out and write the scripts" for "Westworld" Season 2, so it will evidently take time. In fact, he added that he still has no idea what will exactly happen next in the new chapter. But, he is dead sure that it would be exciting, mysterious and original just like the first season.

"We're thrilled that the saga of Westworld will continue for another season," Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy said in a joint statement, Hollywood Reporter reported. They even revealed that they are looking forward to work again with the same people and feel grateful to HBO, WBTV and Bad Robot for their support and renewing the show.

Meanwhile, Casey Bloys described that "Westworld" is a "great building block" for HBO. Compared to their limited series, "The Young Pope," "Big Little Lies" and "Sharp Objects," "Westworld" becomes to have a great importance. Of course, this is expected to continue when "Westworld" Season 2 comes.

Casey Bloys even revealed that "Westworld" becomes the breath of HBO's programming and has been often documented and covered by the media. And this becomes a great big deal for the cable network. For now, these are the only things known for the next "Westworld" Season 2.
