With the contracts of "The Big Bang Theory" lead actors Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), and Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) coming to an end, it's highly speculated that the show will be closing the curtains very soon too. Although the actors have not yet confirmed nor denied this rumor, "The Big Bang Theory" creator, Chuck Lorre, mentioned about a live audience.

In an interview with Variety, Chuck Lorre shared that having a live audience is a must to know if "The Big Bang Theory" storylines are funny enough for a large number of viewers. Even though with or without the live audience "The Big Bang Theory" is already a sure win for the fans, Chuck Lorre feels that it is important to get some output before putting the show on air.

"There's a terrific vulnerability when you're working in front of a live audience," "The Big Bang Theory" creator said. "There are no tricks involved. There's no editing or post-production magic. It's very vulnerable. And I would guess that vulnerability is part of the appeal. When it truly works, it's great."

Chuck Lorre noted that while it seems that "The Big Bang Theory" doesn't need any extra help when it comes to their script. He further noted that the reaction of a live audience will be their basis to either change the script totally or just do a little tweaking.
