One of the most popular TV shows ever can be over. Rumor has it that one of the stars may leave the show. Mark Harmon, who has been playing agent Gibbs, the leader of NCIS team, is rumored to at the exit. Real reasons are not known, and the rumor is still just a rumor, but nevertheless it is a big one. How possible is cancellation of the show after 14 seasons and why is that happening?

Rumors of cancellation of "NCIS" in season 14 are based on the fact that it recorded a huge 13.35% drop in the ratings in regard to previous season. Another thing that raises fans concern is that Harmon looks noticeably thinner. For some these reasons are enough to start that cancellation is about to happen. Morning News USA adds that a throwback photo of Harmon can be a hint of getting out of the show. So, there is not just rumors about cancellation, but as well as Mark Harmon’s exit as one of possible reasons for cancelling the show in order to avoid further drop in the ratings.

After Michael Weatherly’s exit in season 13, another star of "NCIS" may be leaving the show in season 14. Mark Harmon, who stars as agent Gibbs, is said to be looking for other projects. A huge fall of the ratings, according to some because of Weatherly left the show can keep on if this happens. But, according to The Bit Bag, Agent Anthony Dinozzo (Michael Weatherly) can return. But, it is not only Harmon’s departure that is causing the end of the show. Michael weatherly has left the show in last season, as well as agent Ziva (Cote de Pablo) who has been killed. Recently Mark Harmon was named America’s favorite TV personality and some suggest that he needs more attention and different roles now.
