The show has been steadily gaining more viewers and is even in the number 1 slot. Warning. This post will contain spoilers for "Timeless" Season 1.

Three If By Space reports that "Timeless" Season 1 has averaged a 2.7 rating in adults 18-49, making it the top-rated Monday drama so far this season in 18-49. Although there are still quite a few episodes for season 1 of "Timeless", if the show continues its upward spiral, then NBC will surely renew the show for another season.

"Timeless" Season 1 just aired its sixth episode in the science fiction series, and fans were surprised by the twists they watched. The episode, titled "The Watergate Tape", found the trio of Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter), and Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett), in 1972, at the beginning of the Watergate Scandal. In order to save Wyatt who has been captured by Flynn Garcia, Lucy and Rufus need to retrieve the lost conversation of President Nixon that was erased by his secretary.

Rittenhouse also makes an appearance again in the latest episode of "Timeless" Season 1. It seems that the secret organization has been around for a while and that the villain of the series, Flynn, is set on destroying Rittenhouse through time travel. Flynn revealed to Wyatt that his wife and daughter were killed by Rittenhouse after he found out about the organization's connection to Mason Industries.

Another twist in "Timeless" Season 1 is the fact that at the end of the latest episode, it was revealed that Lucy's father is actually the henchman from Rittenhouse, as reported by Nerdist. "Timeless" Season 1 episodes 7 and 8 will have the team traveling to the time of The American Revolution. It also seems that the time machine will encounter problems, hence the title "Stranded".
