"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 is under production but fans have already started speculating about it. Though the cast and crew have managed to keep the upcoming installment under wraps, there is various report giving details of "Orange is the New Black" Season 5.
There are a lot of conjectures regarding whether fans will see Officer Thomas Humphrey (Michael Torpey) in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 as in the finale episode of the fourth season Daya Diaz was pointing a gun towards Humphrey. In the scene, rests of the inmates were seen encouraging Diaz to kill Humphrey. Humphrey's name is among those who are rumored to die in the next season. Gossip mills are abuzz with the news that Piper Chapman will be killed too in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5. It is because, since her arrival to the penitentiary she has made several enemies. Her former lover Stella (Ruby Rose) or Kubra (Eyas Younis) could kill her.
Many characters in the "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 will be transferred to solitary confinement. This has given scope to speculate that Hurst's Miss Claudette will be released from her cell. According to Christian Times, Miss Claudette's appearance will help other inmates in coping with Poussey's loss and handling the frustration. Claudette will motivate them to focus on their work and not involve in any more trouble.
Interestingly, the official "Orange is the New Black" Twitter account retweeted Laura Prepon's ( Alex Vause) tweet, where she has posted a picture of her with Taylor Schilling (Piper Chapman) holding a clapper. Prepon captioned the picture saying that she will be directing the 10th episode of the season.
Whether new characters will be added to the series is not confirmed by "Orange is the New Black" Producers yet. Moreover, till now Netflix has not announced an official release date for the "Orange is the New Black" Season 5.
