Warner Bros. official website has released a teaser for its live-action adaptation of the manga "Fullmetal Alchemist." According to Anime News Network, "Fullmetal Alchemist" live-action film started filming last June in Italy and completed filming the second half of August in Japan. Fumihiko Sori, the director of the film is clear with his vision of adapting the manga, he wanted it to be close to the original manga as possible.

The director of the live-action "Fullmetal Alchemist" shared that the entire cast members are Japanese, but the cultural background is from Europe, since filming started in Italy. However, he clarified that it's a style that doesn't represent a specific race or country. Since he wanted the adaptation to be like the manga, he said that there will never be a scene in which a character says something that would identify him or her as a Japanese.

Hiroum Arakawa's "Fullmetal Alchemist" will star Ryosuke Yamada as Edward Elric, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, and Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang. Also, other cast members include Fumiyo Kohinata, Ryuta Sato, Misako Renbutsu, Yo Oizumi, Jun Kunimua, and Yasuko Matsuyuki, which play significant roles in the live action film, Kotaku reported.

The "Fullmetal Alchemist" live-action film is all about a 20-year old Ed which was originally only 15 years old in the manga series. Fumihiko Sori said that his adaptation will show the truth in living and he is excited in making his dream turn into a wonderful story in a film.

Hiroum Arakawa's "Fullmetal Alchemist" manga series was first published 2001 to 2010 by Square Enix's Shonen Gangan and later introduced to North America by Viz Media. It was also adapted into an anime series with the same title in 2003 and later produced two full-length animated movies in 2005 and 2011.
