‘Pokemon Sun And Moon’ Latest News & Update: Pokemon Company To Gift Free Mythical Magearna To Nintendo 3DS Players

Avid fans of the "Pokemon" gaming franchise will soon meet several interesting characters in the new Nintendo 3DS game "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Latest gaming news revealed how players can download the mythical Pokemon Magearna for free beginning December.

Over the past months, gamers were bombarded with news of the various Pokemon creatures that game developers have added to "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Two of these creatures are the mythical Pokemon namely Solgaleo and Lunala. Available on specific versions of the new Nintendo 3DS game, each Pokemon possesses unique abilities and powers.

However, another mythical Pokemon will soon be introduced to "Pokemon Sun and Moon." The creature Magearna will soon be available for free download to Nintendo 3DS players. An announcement posted on the official "Pokemon" website detailed how gamers can get the said mythical Pokemon to their respective games.

After completing the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" main story, a QR Scanner feature will be unlocked that will enable players to digitally acquire Magearna. Beginning Dec. 5, the Pokemon Company will post a special QR code on the "Pokemon" website that gamers can scan using the in-game QR Scanner.

Once scanned, players can download Magearna to their Nintendo 3DS games. Players have until March 5, 2017 to scan the special QR code to access the said mythical Pokemon.

Meanwhile, players who downloaded the demo version of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" can also move all the items they receive, as well as the Pokemon Ash-Greninja, to the game's live version. Visiting Professor Kukui at the demo version's Pokemon Center and choosing the prompt "bring to full version" will initiate the digital transfer, according to gaming tips posted on iDigital Times.

Once done, players can download their "Pokemon Sun and Moon" demo items from the man wearing a yellow and blue shirt at the Pokemon Center in the game's live version. Gamers are advised to have an extra slot available to receive the demo items encased in a "mystery" gift.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" hit gaming markets on Nov. 18. Learn more about the Nintendo 3DS game's Pokemon characters in the clip below:
