"The Crow" reboot is one that many have anticipated to happen for the longest time. However, this may shatter all hopes and dreams in the same manner, as a massive halt to production was recently announced by the parties involved.

A cult classic on its own, the 1994 film has been rumored to push through with "The Crow" reboot not too far back, but the issues surrounding it may be responsible for its untimely halt. The aforementioned project has left the grasps of Relativity Media and are now reported to be part of a different financier.

According to past reports, Samuel Hadida's Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow officially garnered the rights to distribute, produce and fund the next rendition of "The Crow." On a more interesting note, it will not be known as "The Crow" reboot, but more likely "The Crow Reborn." Not only does this mean that there could be a delay in the production, but it may also lead to the alteration of the people working behind it. Such recent dreads have pointed to the loss of director Corin Hardy and identically, Jason Momoa to star in the film.

So far, these issues are all afloat, with many questioning as to where the film now stands. A handful of actors were once gathered to play the role of Eric Draven, though these setbacks regarding the corresponding rights may have induced a crack on the road. Some fans of "The Crow" have even concluded to no longer push through with the reboot or continuity and let the cult classic live on its own legendary status permanently.

For those unaware, "The Crow" is a 1989 novel written by James O' Barr, which talks about a man who was murdered with his lover and eventually rises again to seek vengeance. The original film starred Brandon Lee, the son of legendary martial arts icon Bruce Lee and marked his last outstanding performance before passing.

Will "The Crow" still happen despite all the untangible adversaries hindering its ascendancy? Sound off on the comments section below and stay posted for more news here at GamenGuide.
