There’Disney has just announced that Emilia Clarke from “Game of Thrones” will join the cast of the upcoming “Star Wars” spin-off movie as the female lead spot opposite Alden Ehrenreich. Her role in the film is not yet announced but it has been reported that the actress was chosen over Zoe Kravitz of “Mad Max’ and Tessa Thompson of “Westworld”
Alden Ehrenreich will play the lead role as Han Solo while Donald Glover will play as Lando Calrissian. Although the role of Clarke is not announced, there are speculations that the actress could play Han Solo’s love interest, Princess Leia. It is reported that she will play the lead female role in the film and who would be the best character to be with Solo but Princess Leia.
In the story, Han Solo and Princess Leia will have a child named Ben Solo also known as Kylo Ren. In the 2015 movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, Han Solo and Princess Leia relationship did not last due to circumstances. They are later reunited as they fight for the same side and for the life of their son who has been seduced to join the dark side. Han Solo does everything he can to get his son back but it was too late. He lost his life trying to save his son.
It would definitely be interesting to see how Han Solo and Princess Leia’s love story started and what exactly made them decide to go separate ways. Particularly now with Emilia Clarke who never fails to amaze the audience with her acting skills.
Emilia Isabelle Euphemia Rose Clarke was born in October 1986 and is best known for her role in the “Game of Thrones” as Daenerys Targaryen. She received numerous nomination for her role since 2013 and starred in the romance movie “Me Before You”. In 2015, she holds Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive title.
