Xbox One: 3 graphically gifted titles that will set the living room on fire

The Xbox One is all but made official for retail by Microsoft. There have been a lot of details about the consoles and most of it is regarding either the console’s specifications or a general comparison with its next biggest rival – Sony’s PlayStation 4.

In our last big comparison with PS4, we showed that how PS4 and Xbox One are not that different as far as initial specifications of the console are concerned. However, this time around, our focus is not on the specifications of the Microsoft-based console, but what games will actually look breathtaking when they make use of the console’s in-built power.

During the last big Microsoft announcement back in May, where the company showcased its next-gen Xbox One, there were also some mentions about the games that will arrive alongside the console. At the Xbox One announcement Microsoft claimed to have 15 Xbox One exclusive games in its first year, with eight of those being new franchises.

While there are number of confirmed titles for the console, only a few are expected to be a treat for the eyes, realistically. Here’s a list of the three games that could turn out to be a must buy for anybody who is willing to spend on the Xbox One.

Now I might have left out on a number of titles you folks may feel should be included in the list, but this is the way i feel it will be. So please bear with me.

Wolfenstein: The New Order: Truthfully, the game seriously looks like it could pack a punch against other titles in the similar genre this year. And with the utilization of the id Tech 5 engine combined with its 8GB of RAM, the game is bound to keep you in your seat.

The game is set in Europe during the 1960s and takes place in an alternate universe where the Nazis won World War II. Interestingly, the game sees the return of longtime Wolfenstein protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz, and he is on a mission to infiltrate and overthrow ruling Nazi forces.

The game has a new E3 trailer. Check it out

Call of Duty: Ghosts: We know the kind of fame the titles in the Call of Duty franchise have because of their presentation and a usually immersive storyline, and more or less the same is expected with the arrival of Ghosts.

Ghosts is said to run on the IW engine, the same engine that we have known so well since the arrival of Call of Duty 2, and because the latest engine will be an enhanced version of the previous IW 3.0 engine, it shouldn’t be that big an expectation if we expect that the game will be even better as compared to its predecessors.

If rumors are to be believed, the first mission in Call of Duty: Ghosts is expected to take place in Novigrad in Croatia, with the mission being a basic Call of Duty styled escape the enemy stage. However, it will be harder to tell the enemy from you team since Ghosts will take over most teams such as FBI, CIA, NSA, and more.

Watch Dogs: Watch Dogs from Ubisoft is massively expected to be among the games of the year nomination, mostly because it takes the gaming industry into a whole different level where you can control an entire city, if not the country, via just a push of your phone.

Watch Dogs will be using the Disrupt engine with Havok physics, and although we don’t quite really know as to how the engine will work out, judging by the initial gameplay trailers, we will not be disappointed.

The game will be coming to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PC, and will see players assuming the role of Aiden Pearce, “a new type of vigilante who, with the help of his smartphone, will use his ability to hack into Chicago’s central operating system (CtOS) and control almost every element of the city.”

Aiden is able to tap into the city’s all-pervading security cameras, download personal information to locate a target, control systems such as traffic lights or public transportation to stop a chase, and more.

More on these titles are expected to arrive at this year’s E3.
