‘Avatar’ 2 News & Updates, Release Date, Rating, Expectations & More!

“Avatar” was a success like only James Cameron can craft. Just like his other hit movie “Titanic”, this one made over $2,5 billion in box office revenue, which means that there is a high chance of a sequel. Now the chances have played out.

According to Cinema Blend, “Avatar” 2 will launch in December 2018, but there are a few problems with this date. Problems are mostly based on missing production and release dates that have already been set to the project. It is highly anticipated that the movie will miss this one date too, before its actual release. When it comes to the rating of the movie, the last one was rated PG-13, which is a good aim for the future release. Also, keeping the rating as low as they can will bring as many viewers to the cinema seats mimicking the success of the original movie.

Movie News Guide gives some insight on the story and it is development. Two of the characters who died in the original “Avatar” will be re-appearing in the movie. Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang’s characters will make a return in the movie, where their characters will be resurrected as Na`vi, the indigenous tribe of the Pandora planet. The main characters from the original movie will return on the screen as a family and the story in “Avatar” 2 will have a partial family-feud theme going to it.

Jobs and Hire have released some news on the reason behind the slow development of the picture. According to them, James Cameron is filming the movie through a technique called “performance capture” which he expects will change cinema forever. One of the less supported theories is that “Avatar” 2 has still not yet been released, since Cameron is filming the third and fourth installments of the movie together with this one. The said work is both bold and heavy, which may explain the large delay of over nine years.
