The excitement is building up for the next season of "Sense8" after it was recently confirmed. Fans are daily updating discussion groups about the possible release date of the sci-fi drama series.
Will it come in December?
In a discussion forum on reddit, a user shared an Instagram photo teasing that the "Sense8" Season 2's release will air on Christmas Day for a two-hour special. "I'm so happy that we get two whole hours as opposed to the standard 50 mins or so. It will feel like a Sense8 movie of sorts. Can't wait for Christmas Day," added user Landscaper89.
Many, however, doubted the truthfulness of the post since it was not the official Instagram account of the Netflix hit series. Other users said there have been few and limited updates on the official social media page of "Sense8."
Season 2 renewal
"Sense8" Season 2 was earlier confirmed by Netflix more than a year after the last episode of Season 1 aired. The streaming service has yet to release official details on the release of the next installment. Fans believe that it could air early next year.
Rumors point that when the Netflix series comes back next year, it will have a new character called "The Assistant." The additional character is thought to be Whisper's ally in going against the eight main characters of the show.
Plot details
Viewers fell in love with the unique plot of the sci-fi series which explores the story of eight people from different parts of the world who are connected to one another by their thoughts, experiences and visions. One can see and feel the experience of another Sensate even if they are located in opposite parts of the globe.
"Sense8's" renewal reportedly came weeks after the team behind the Netflix series claimed that they are positive about a Season 2 for the show. Its creator J. Michael Straczynski noted the great support from the viewers made another season possible.
