LeEco Cool Release Date, News & Update: 6GB of Ram Smartphone Soon To Launch; Will It Increase Its Shares?

The second smartphone of Cool series, LeEco Cool, is expected to launch soon in the mobile market. The rumored release started after LeEco and Coolpad passed the network certification through the TENNA website.

LeEco and Coolpad Group Limited has announced last August its partnership and produced its first joint mobile venture, Cool1 Dual. It targeted the mid-range mobile market after it was released. LeEco and Coolpad seem to plan on continuing its Cool series, this time it is simply called LeEco Cool.

According to Gadgets360, the possible launch of LeEco Cool is confirmed by a passed network certification via TENNA website. TENNA is a Chinese regulatory body that approves smartphones production in China.

The specs of the LeEco Cool smartphone features 5.5-inch 1080p display for users who prefer not a bulky phone. The smartphone sports the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset with 2.35GHz of speed. The RAM has two variants 4GB or 6GB depending on consumers need.

In addition, users who have massive files, they have options of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage. The battery will last longer with its large 4000mAh battery. The camera of LeEco Cool smartphone sports 16MP for the rear camera and 8MP for the front camera. The downside is it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow but there is a chance it will get an Android Nougat update.

Meanwhile, the release of LeEco Cool smartphone is unexpected since LeEco is reported to have a fall of its shares. According to South China Morning Post, LeEco founder Jia Yueting confirmed last Monday that the company is facing cash shortages due to ambitious rapid expansions.

Jia Yueting admitted that his company is expanding too fast that the company runs out of enough cash to support LeEco. "We blindly speed ahead and our cash demand ballooned. We got over-extended in our global strategy," Yueting revealed. The company's expansion includes its partnership with Coolpad Group Limited to produce new devices, like the LeEco Cool smartphone.

The revelation of Jia Yueting of his company's cash crunch puts LeEco Cool smartphone release in question. Although TENNA approved the smartphone's production, the company may not have enough capital to continue its production for LeEco Cool. Also, there is no guarantee that the sales of LeEco Cool smartphone will profit and cover its production expenses.
