‘Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ What Is New, What Is Old & Is It Worth Buying?

‘Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare’ What Is New, What Is Old & Is It Worth Buying?

“Call of Duty” is among the series that barely need introduction. Its inception was back in the early thousands, focusing on WW II scenarios, where during the years it developed towards modern times and finally, the future. That is where “Call of Duty : Modern Warfare” takes you and it is as visually stunning, as it is actively monotonous, compared to both itself and the series as a whole.

Otago Daily Times
shares the pros of this game. The graphics are simply amazing. The game looks beautiful and up to date with nowadays trends. There is neither overuse of flares, nor of strobe lights. Lighting, shadows and texture detail make an amazing combination, which is an eye feast and a testament to the technological advance made in the last few years.

Another great concept of the game is the “Zombies Mode”. The team behind “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” have really outdone themselves with this one. It is an 80’s futuristic concept park, where you have to find hordes of undead enemies. Defeated waves unlock more sections of the map, which brings about some interesting secrets hidden in them and a hilarious Easter egg for the fans of “Baywatch”.

It is not all cake and happiness in the game. First comes its poor reception as the most hated game trailer on Youtube. Second is the whole scandal surrounding the release of “Call of Duty: Modern warfare remastered” and last, but not least is the game itself.

PC World shares some of the ugly truths about it. The multiplayer, even though tweaked up, is essentially the same. The hardcore fans of the series will surely not mind it, but people who are looking for something new, will be repulsed by the lack of innovation. Basically, there is nothing in the multiplayers of “Infinite Warfare” which justifies the purchase, since it is not much different from “Advanced Warfare” or any other game in the “Call of Duty” series. The single player is not doing much better. Even though there is an actual effort in making the story interesting, there are a lot of plot holes and generic tropes, which make it feel boring and mundane.

In conclusion, if you are a hardcore fan of the series, you will love it. If not, there are a ton of other shooter available at the moment, that do the same which “Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare” does, but better. Buyers are left with the words of the reviewer from The Verge, who claims that this game shows you the mundane task of murder, where the genius of the story holds. Even if it is like that, there is a lot of missing motivation in this piece and even though visually stunning, it is a game, not a graphics test.
