The Android 7.0 Nougat update was known to have been available earlier on to some smartphone brands, with others wondering when their own share is to come. Luckily, it was announced that those who have been looking for it are to wait no longer-including the world-famous Sony.

It was back in August 22 of this year when Google stepped forward and rolled out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to their Nexus devices. Sadly, other device manufacturers were not too fortunate just yet, which has now finally been addressed-to some, at least. One of the companies who are still bound to wait is BlackBerry.

According to recent reports, BlackBerry is still left hanging when it comes to the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The BlackBerry Android devices are speculated upon to acquire such update early next year, though it is still to be confirmed. The same cannot be said for Huawei, which is anticipated to release the Mate 9 along with the Android 7.0 Nougat before the year's end, as well as HTC 10, HTC One A9 and GTC One M9 by the end of November.

One of the more interesting bits for the Android 7.0 Nougat is how Sony specified their products that are to be gifted with the said update, as per their blog post. The Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact are all confirmed for the said update.

The powerhouse tech company Samsung went in on the mix as well, alongside OnePlus, LG and the rest of the Nexus line. Motorola was generous to implement the Android 7.0 Nougat for their products, though no release date has been named just yet. For the time being, Android users are urged to take note of their models and when they are to expect the update.

The Android 7.0 Nougat is currently the best Android update for the time being and some other smartphone manufacturers are eyeing to make their latest models at least compatible to the said update. Stay posted for more news and updates here at GamenGuide.
