'Pokemon Sun and Moon’ Guide: Where to Get Solgaleo and Lunala

Solgaleo and Lunala are two of the strongest legendary Pokemon in “Pokemon Sun and Moon”. The only Pokemon considered stronger than the two is Zygarde, who is only better in terms of HP, physical defense, and special defense. But in physical attack, special attack and speed stat, Solgaleo is higher. Lunala, on the other hand, almost have the same stats like Solgaleo but with a much powerful special defense.

For that reason, its not surprising why many players would want to get their hands on Solgaleo and Lunala as early as possible in the game which is what this guide aims to provide. From how to get it and the exact location where to catch it.

How to Get Solgaleo and Lunala

First and foremost, getting any of the two Pokemon depends on what version of the game the player is using. For “Pokemon Sun”, players can catch Solgaleo while Luna can only be caught when playing “Pokemon Moon”. Secondly, either of the Pokemon does not have a habitat and the only way for players to catch it is wait until they finish the story.

How to Get Solgaleo or Lunala’s Pre-Evolotion Cosmog

After finishing the story, the player just need to go back to the Altar of Sunne with Solgaleo or Luna in their party. However, the player must go to the altar at night if playing “Pokemon Sun” and in the morning when playing “Pokemon Moon” to see a portal. Then player should head to the Lake of Moon then head to the platform’s top. A cut scene should start to receive Cosmog.

What Makes Lunala and Solgaleo Special

Solgaleo is known for its ability to have a full metal body while Lunala for its shadow shield. They are the only Pokemon to possess such abilities. Solgaleo’s ability acts as a type of defense so any attack from the opponent doesn’t affect its stats. For Lunala, it will take less damage from any attack thrown at it.
