'The Crown" Season 2 has been confirmed to be filming the second decade of Queen Elizabeth II's rule as the British monarch from 1956 thru 1966. Claire Foy will play the role of the Queen in the background of England's political turmoil & transformation after Winston Churchill.
In the midst of all the challenges of the time, "The Crown" Season 2 will take off from season 1's decade of the princess marriage to Phillip Mountbatten (Matt Smith) of Greece in 1947. The story arc of the back 10 episodes of season1 chronicles the struggles and maneuverings of the young Princess.
