'The Crown" Season 2 has been confirmed to be filming the second decade of Queen Elizabeth II's rule as the British monarch from 1956 thru 1966. Claire Foy will play the role of the Queen in the background of England's political turmoil & transformation after Winston Churchill.

In the midst of all the challenges of the time, "The Crown" Season 2 will take off from season 1's decade of the princess marriage to Phillip Mountbatten (Matt Smith) of Greece in 1947. The story arc of the back 10 episodes of season1 chronicles the struggles and maneuverings of the young Princess. Britain is picking up the pieces after WWII, and then Queen Elizabeth has to stand up to her responsibilities to the Crown and England as detailed by Gamenguide.

"The Crown" Season 2 is expected to be a decade in Elizabeth II's reign that ushers the holding of political power by three Prime Ministers according to Harpersbazaar's predictions. On the row is the order of the time they served as PM. First will be Anthony Eden (Jeremy Northam), Harold Macmillan and Sir Alec Douglas-Home. There is no news yet on the casts who will be acting for the other two PMs.

There is no definite date yet for "The Crown" Season 2 to be released for showing at Netflix.
