WWE 2016 News and Match Updates: John Cena vs Goldberg Fight May Follow After Brock Lesnar's Loss

WWE 2016 News and Match Updates: John Cena vs Goldberg Fight May Follow After Brock Lesnar's Loss

After Goldberg destroyed Brock Lesnar in the recently concluded WWE Survivor Series, a lineup of players is already rumored to be his next opponent. One of his possible foes, as per the fans, is John Cena.

If the Lesnar vs Goldberg rivalry earned worldwide attention, a Cena vs Goldberg matchup would surely live up to the name. The two are among the biggest names in the industry of wrestling today.

A lot of WWE spectators would really watch out for the match between the two wrestlers because they may only have a few big matches left in their careers. It would also be exciting how returning Goldberg will deal with John Cena. Will his strategy be the same as his fight with the Beast Incarnate?

Royal Rumble buildup

A prelude to this possible fight could be witnessed at The Royal Rumble where both fighters are expected to appear. If the WWE finds that the matchup could push through, the fight could be slated for WrestleMania 33 this coming April 2017.

Another interesting thing about a Goldberg vs Cena fight is how the momentum would build up before the match. It can be remembered that John Cena bet on Brock Lesnar to win versus Goldberg in their WWE Survivor Series match.

Cena bet on Lesnar

"He hasn't aged a second, he is still gifted, he is still athletic and he is still destructive," Cena said of Brock Lesnar. He also noted that he do not know anybody who could beat the Beast Incarnate,

When Lesnar and Goldberg fought last November 20, the returning WWE star dominated the match in just 90 seconds. It was an unexpected and rather fast victory for Goldberg which shocked fans all over the globe.

Now that Goldberg has proven himself and marked his official return to the ring, many are already picking potential opponents for him. Who do you think should also go against Goldberg?
