The Nintendo Switch is coming out in March 2017 and there's a preview trailer which reveals lots of new details on the Codename NX console. Nintendo has taken the wraps off its new NX games console. We now know the "Nintendo NX" will be called the Switch- both official details and rumors.

It was predicted that Nintendo would reveal the NX console in October and it did exactly that in the form of a Switch preview trailer. "In addition to providing single and multiplayer thrills at home, the Nintendo Switch system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles," according to Nintendo.

"I think it has tremendous potential as a game-changer. We'll have to wait and see. Like everything else in this industry, the consumers will vote with their dollars, as Nintendo added.

Nintendo said that the announcement of "Nintendo Switch" price, games list and release date will be in a special event in Tokyo on January 13.While it's exactly uncertain when the event will take place. Time differences mean it will take place on January 12 in North America.
Despite, there are fears that the console would be delayed; Nintendo has already confirmed a March 2017 release date for the "Nintendo Switch," although the exact date will be announced in January at the said event in Tokyo.

In terms of the 'Nintendo Switch' price, Ovum analyst Paul Jackson echoes Pachter, arguing that £200-£220 represents the "sweet spot for mass adoption", and that £300 would be a good price to start with for Nintendo.

"In addition to providing single-player and multiplayer thrills at home, the 'Nintendo Switch' system also enables gamers to play the same title wherever, whenever and with whomever they choose. The mobility of a handheld is now added to the power of a home gaming system to enable unprecedented new video game play styles," said Nintendo.

Eurogamer has it on good authority that the "Nintendo Switch" screen is 6.2in with a 720p resolution. It's also a capacitive touchscreen like smartphones and supports 10-point multi-touch.
