Jeremy Lin Latest News, Injury Updates: Brooklyn Nets Point Guard Supports Team Despite Being Out for Weeks; 'Linsanity' Expected to Return on Tuesday

"Linsanity" fans are up for some bad news. Jeremy Lin's return to the 2016-2017 NBA season is still unannounced. However, he continues to show his support for the Brooklyn Nets even as he has been sitting out on the games for the past couple of weeks.

The former New York Knicks player suffered from a left hamstring injury earlier this month when the Nets went out against the Detroit Pistons. When his injury was announced, it was stated that he may or may not return to court after two weeks. On the other hand, fans continue to hope that Jeremy Lin will be able to play with his team soon.

Despite being unable to play the ball, Jeremy Lin has been very supportive of his team mates. In a recent interview with The New York Times, the Nets' head coach Kenny Atkinson said the point guard has come up with a statistics chart to help boost the performance of the team.

"Linology," Atkinson said. "It's beautiful. It's his way of showing he cares. He asked me if he could do it, and I said, 'Yeah, sure.' And he just does it, and he hands it to me after every game, and then I hand it to - you know, I'm not exactly sure where it goes."

Jeremy Lin has also been photographed at the bench area during the previous games as he holds on to a clipboard. It appears that "Linology" is in the said clipboard. Though Atkinson may be joking when he said he isn't sure where the statistics clipboard ends up after each game, Lin may be looking for ways to still be of help to his team. On the other hand, the clipboard may not be enough to liven things up on the Nets' circle.

CBS Sports suggests that Jeremy Lin may get his chance of a court comeback on Tuesday, November 29. The game will see the Brooklyn Nets against the Los Angeles Clippers. However, Lin will have to be cleared by medical experts before he sets foot on the court again.

Jeremy Lin has been a point guard for the following teams in the past: Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, and Charlotte Hornets. In July, he bagged a $36-million deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
