A 22-year-old man is said to have committed matricide, uxoricide, filicide and suicide. It was believed that the man is responsible for the death of three of his family members after they were fatally shot and before he turned the gun to himself in what appears to be a murder-suicide case committed in a hotel at Fairbanks, Alaska on Friday.
The initial investigation of Fairbanks Police Department shows that McKay Hutton was alleged to be responsible for killing his 54-year-old mother Linda Hutton, 22-year-old wife Emily McDonald, two month old son and himself. Currently, the police department is still under investigation of the motive of the killings according to People.
On Friday afternoon, the Fairbanks Police Department received a call with a "suspicious circumstance" from Fairbanks area in Hampton Inn and Suites. Police officers responded to the call and found out that a man was crying. It led them to the second floor of the hotel hallway where they found the body of Hutton and the other three victims.
Police officers said that there are no drugs or alcohol involved in the shooting incident. The victims will be submitted to the State Medical Examiner's Office for autopsies on Monday.
According to the Facebook pages of McKay Hutton and Emily McDonald, both of them were married and they recently welcomed a child named Teagan. They have many pictures together and they also discovered pictures of a slightly older male child. However, his relationship with the couple is still unclear so police officers are in question whether or not they have another child.
Police officers said that the identity of the child was not yet disclosed but they assured that he is not present during the incident and he is safe. His relationship with the victims is not yet known and is under investigation according to Cosmopolitan.
In one post of Mckay, he gushed about his wife on their anniversary in 2015. He said how lucky he is to have her and Tj and he considered both of them as the most important part of his life. He even said that he could never be completed without them by his side.
