‘World of Warcraft: Legion’ What Is New? Is It Worth It?

‘World of Warcraft: Legion’ What Is New? Is It Worth It?

“World of Warcraft” has gained the status of a household name. For twelve years this game has been entertaining and some times, disappointing its fans, but it has preserved through over a decade. The new expansion “Legion” hit the stores last August and enough time has passed to give a verdict on the experience.

Extreme Tech shares a thorough review of the game and its new features. Old timers will be surprised by the sheer amount of changes introduced to the game over the last few expansions and mostly in “Legion”. First is the land of the Broken Isles, this is where the story of “Legion” takes place and where the burning legion’s invasion starts from.

In the Broken Isles, a player does not follow a chosen path of difficulties, but choses his own way to explore the land, where difficulty will automatically adjust to his level. This gives exploration opportunities which go beyond anything that has come to the game since the introduction of flying mounts back in “Burning Crusade”. Artifact weapons are another great addition to the game, which allows players to progress and develop beyond the level cap. Weapons have their own stats and modification which can be improved in many different ways.

The official “World of Warcraft” site has shared notes on patch 7.1 “Return to Karazhan”.
As the title suggests, players will be able to enter the tower of the guardian and fight him once again in this reworked dungeon, fully developed with Mythic difficulty and all latest goodies.
“The Trial of Valor” raid is also added with this patch. It will pit the heroes of Azeroth against Helya, who will aid Odyn in his attempts to stop the crazed titan.

In the end, what is “World of Warcraft” without its wink and pop culture references? Kotaku tackles the topic, by sharing the addition of an NPC named Mad Henryk who will appear after a player has been caught in one of his bear traps. This is homage to Henryk the hunter from “Bloodbourne”. The first version of this meeting included a quest from Eileen the Raven (Eileen the Crow from ”Bloodbourne”) who was hunting for Mad Henryk. Now this quest line has been removed, but the meeting with Mad Henryk is still available to anyone brave enough to test the efficiency of his traps.
