With the high frequency of jailbreaking attempts on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices, Apple easily trumps hackers by means of persistently updating their iOS. With the release of iOS 10.2 public beta 4 for the devices, Apple introduced a tough competition, giving jailbreakers a real hard time.

iOS 10.2 Beta 4 Update

The iOS 10.2 update will promptly be available through over-the-air update. Non-developers could then access the update through a free public beta program. The iOS 10.2 beta introduces minor changes, including three new wallpapers for the latest iPhone devices, new emoji, and a new Home Button Accessibility feature.

According to a report, Messages will be gaining the "Celebration" screen effect. Moreover, the Music Settings will be getting the "Show Star Ratings" and a new headphone icon in the status bar for Bluetooth audio devices. What else should fans expect in iOS 10.2?

Hacking the System

Some reports have said that due to the frequent update of Apple to the iOS 10, Pangu is having some difficulty cracking the mobile OS. They seem to be lacking the time to develop a finalized iOS 10 jailbreak tool, as the famous hacking team is still waiting for the final version.

Another report has stated that Pangu is just waiting for Apple to release the final version of iOS 10.2. With this, they will then release the jailbreak tool. Pangu is said to be doing this so they could preempt the security measures that Apple may take. By releasing the jailbreak tool simultaneously with the final version of iOS 10.2, Apple could not include a security patch just yet.

Previously, Pangu was supposed to release the iOS 10.1 jailbreak tool, but was blocked by the release of iOS 10.1.1. This is the similar case with iOS 10.2, so the team is waiting for the final version to ensure that their efforts do not go to waste.

Moreover, hacking personality Luca Todesco had also demonstrated a working jailbreak tool for iOS 10.1 and 10.1.1, but has not cracked iOS 10.2 just yet. Good news though, as there have been rumors that Todesco will be working with Pangu in developing a jailbreak tool for the latest iOS 10 versions from Apple.
