The midseason finale of "Blindspot" Season 2 shocked the audience of the hit TV show after the mole of "Sandstorm" inside the FBI which has put the life and safety of Patterson in jeopardy. Roman's loyalty was also proven to be still with his foster sister, Jane.
Midseason finale surprises
"Blindspot" Season 2 Episode 9 ended with a cliffhanger after Borden was revealed as the mole inside the FBI who is watching their every move for Shepherd and her group. This broke the heart of Patterson, who already fell in love with the psychologist.
The last scene from the TV series showed Patterson fighting with Borden after she discovered that he was the mole when she saw the ring he was wearing, the same jewelry that Jane remembered as her only memory from the female doctor who saved her. As they fight inside Borden's home, a gunshot was heard.
Who was shot?
It still remains a mystery who was shot between the two characters but many fans are hoping that it is not Patterson. On its official Twitter page, "Blindspot" said they are giving viewers a break to take in the unexpected twist.
"Take a month to process this explosive episode. We'll be back with more #Blindspot on January 4," read a post on the Twitter page. It also tagged Borden as a "traitor" among heroes on the show and that the #Borderson pairing was a love story gone wrong.
Planned decision
Asked why he thought of the pairing for the show, "Blindspot" creator Martin Gero explained that it was their plan from the very beginning. He, however, noted that Borden's character really fell in love Patterson even though he knew it was very risky.
It is still more than a month away from the airing of the Season 2B of Blindspot but fans are already excited to know what will happen to Patterson and Borden. Who do you think was shot in the last episode?
