‘Suicide Squad’ Latest News & Update: Real Villain In ‘Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad’ Comic Book Is Maxwell Lord! More Details Revealed

The newest issue of Direct Current magazine of DC reveals the villain who is the cause of conflict in the upcoming “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad” six-part comic book event. The magazine is a print version of spoilers in the world of DC Comics.

Team villain in “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad” is made up of Maxwell Lord, head of the baddies, and five other members. The five are Doctor Polaris, Rustam, Emerald Empress, Lobo and Johnny Sorrow, according to IGN.

More On Maxwell Lord

Maxwell Lord, prior to New 52, was both a member and enemy of the Justice League. In 2005, in “Infinite Crisis,” he attempted to take over the world by tapping his mind-controlling abilities to subdue Superman. Wonder Woman broke Maxwell’s neck to kill the villain in “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad” and free the Man of Steel.

Many DC fans may be unfamiliar with the five other villains of “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad.” They are old faces and classic characters and concepts whom DC would re-introduce to readers as part of its Rebirth initiative which involves going back to the roots of the publisher.

From Baddie To Good Guy

Of the five, Lobo, a space bounty hunter, is the most popular since he was announced by writer Steve Orlando and artist Ivan Reis as a member of the new Justice League of America comic series in 2017. It is a hint that Lobo would turn from being a baddie to one of the good guys in “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad.” IGN wrote that Lobo’s change of heart is likely because he was paid or forced to fight for the Justice League of America by Batman.

The first comic book, “Justice League vs. Suicide Squad #1” releases in December and ships weekly. Writer of the comic book is Joshua Williamson and artist is Jason Fabok.

“Suicide Squad #7” Is Out

Meanwhile, “Suicide Squad #7” came out on Thursday, Dec. 1, Bleeding Cool reports. According to spoilers for the DC Universe Rebirth initiative, all sorts of people would act up because of an alien object which would turn Amanda Waller into a raging bull and make Harley Quinn sane but only temporarily. June Moone, The Enchantress, and Killer Croc had sex, while Captain Boomerang is introduced.
