Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1050 News & Update: Graphic Chip Coming At CES 2017? Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Lenovo Will Carry This Processor?

Laptops powered by Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 are coming! In fact, there are swirling rumors that it would be part of the CES 2017 trade show that will be held in early 2017.

It is quite expected that Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050-equipped notebooks are going to be revealed at the CES 2017 along with Intel's "Kaby Lake" seventh-generation "H" processors for high-end notebooks and gaming laptops. An insider revealed known laptop brands, like Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, and Lenovo, are the manufacturers that will carry these powerful processors, Digital Trends reported.

Aside from carrying Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050, it was also added that these companies will also introduce gadgets that use Intel's upcoming 200 Series chipsets for motherboards and mini-PCs. Nvidia's GTX 1050 graphics chip is the latest offering of the technology company's GTX 10 Series that boasts its new Pascal graphics chip design.

In fact, DigiTimes reported that Nvidia GTX 1060 GPU notebooks are now sought-after in China and in Southeast Asia. With that, it is strongly believed that the release of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 powered laptops will bring tremendous revenue.

But, the coming of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 in high-powered notebooks and gaming laptops might affect the price war in the market this coming 2017. Asustek and MSI have been leading the laptop gaming market while Lenovo, Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell are making their way to introduce their product lines with a price range of $899 to $1,299.

Meanwhile, Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 is said to be at the bottom of the company's 10 Series ranking in terms of performance and price. The vanilla GTX 1050 is priced at $110 while the GTX 1050 Ti is $140.

However, on the contrary of the hype, the two versions of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1050 don't support Oculus Rift or HTC Vive headsets for a virtual reality experience. Hence, the company advises everyone who wants to enjoy the said feature to go for GTX 1060 graphics chip or higher.
