The fans of "Outlander" season 3 will be seeing the new story of Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe soon. The actor even teased that the story will be quite different from the book of Diana Gabaldon.

In a report from POPSUGAR, the "Outlander" season 3 star, Sam Heughan reportedly revealed that he and Caitriona Balfe would be surprising their fans with a different version of the book. According to the actor, the third season will have a small deviation form Diana Gabaldon's Voyager.

"There are some big surprises, but there are also some great moments from the book that we try to stick to as much as possible," Heughan stated in an interview. Heughan also said that Jamie will become different characters in the third season.

Jamie will be having different names and persona, as he does not want to be Jamie Fraser anymore. His character does not want to live without Claire, but he will eventually learn to fight and move on with life. The actor also share that Jamie and Claire will be reuniting and their bond will continue to be special. Of course, the two will be shocked once they see each other again.

According to him, Claire believes Jamie is dead and vice versa. "They both create new lives without each other to try to survive and cope," Heughan said, "so you can imagine that when they do finally reunite, it's going to be quite special."

Many viewers are still wondering if Heughan and Balfe would ever announce that they are in a relationship, but it seems like the two are good friends. The actor stated that he does not enjoy filming his scenes away from Balfe. He even said that he feels good whenever he is with her.

The "Outlander" season 3 stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. The show's release date is yet to be confirmed.
