List of FIFA 14 upgrades for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 revealed

With the next FIFA title just around the corner, it seems like EA is all set to showcase the game on the next generation consoles, and do whatever it can to offer a more seamless transition from the current generation to the next.

According to the latest news from EA Sports, fans will have the option to transfer their data across generations for those who pick up the game for a current generation console and continue with the game, alongside all the acquired data, in the next generation.

“Fans of FIFA 14 will have numerous opportunities when it comes to upgrading from the current generation edition of the game and make the move to the next generation. Whether your platform of choice is the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4, numerous retailers are offering opportunities to upgrade your experience when the new consoles launch this fall,” the official post states.

The post confirms that fans can start their season on FIFA 14 on their current console, and can then bring it over to the next generation console. “Your FIFA Ultimate Team travel with you…so does your FIFA Seasons progress, including trophy case and leaderboards; your Online Virtual Pro and accomplishments; your EA SPORTS Level and XP…so no time is wasted and no accomplishment goes unrecognized. That’s our promise to you.”

The next generation carryovers for FIFA 14 have a number of stand-outs. These include the transition of coins, club items, players, seasons division, trophies and FIFA points under FUT.

Also, for the online aspect of the game, fans can carryover their progress in a current season, the Trophy Room, a brand new carryover trophy, the Virtual Pro Look, and the Virtual Pro accomplishments.

As far as the popular FIFA-based Career Mode is concerned, fans can now carryover their Career Pro Boost, Global Transfer Network scouts, increased transfer budget (if any) and edit player functionality from the current generation the next.

Lastly, there’s a carryover option for EAS FC as well with fans being offered the option to bring their gameplay catalogue items – like boots, balls, historic kits and celebrations – and FUT catalogue items to the next generation.

FIFA 14, set to take advantage of the next-generation Ignite Engine, is scheduled for a release on Nov. 15 in North America and Nov. 29 in Europe for PS4, with an Xbox One release happening on Nov. 22.
