'Monster Hunter Generations' DLC Latest News & Update: Street Fighter-Themed Update For Felynes; Tetsuya Nomura Designs Featured

"Monster Hunter Generations" has always been exciting the way it is but as the holidays approach, it looks like developer Capcom has come up with a new reason to make fans smile. Another batch of free downloadable content is now available but this time, it will be very enjoyable as it features some iconic video game characters presented in a very cute manner.

The highlight of this latest update is based on the pioneer button-smashing fighting game Street Fighter and some designs contributed by Tetsuya Nomura from Square Enix. The Street Fighter themed sets however, are only for felynes and not for a player's character in "Monster Hunter: Generations."

Obtaining them is pretty easy as a player would only need to complete a single Prowler quest, SF: Ultimate Entrance Exam. Once that is done, a player obtains the Blanka and Chun-Li sets which they can equip to make their felynes look like those Street Fighter characters.

GameSpot reports that while the objectives for obtaining the Street Fighter themed set for felynes is already pointed out, it will not necessarily be that easy. This is because in doing so, the quest will task a player to hunt both a Volvidon and a Great Maccao, which are pretty tough to do in "Monster Hunter: Generations."

As for that gear designed by Tetsuya Nomura, one would have to hunt down a Hyper Deviljho in the Voracious King quest. Once conquered, the rewards would be the Wing of Judgment weapon and two sets of armor called the Anat and Rage sets. Since these were designed by the genius behind the "Final Fantasy" series and "Kingdom Hearts," those who are familiar with his masterpieces would already know what to expect.

The update process as well as the complete list of new sets and what a player would have to do to get his or her hands on them is laid out in a post by Capcom Unity. Other exciting rewards are show such as when hunting down a Hyper Lagiacrus, a player would be rewarded with Raikou Works, Light Works, Volt Works, Inazuma Works, Thunder Works and Blitz Works.
